We’ve partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects to aid in the efforts of reforestation and poverty alleviation. Eden Reforestation projects reduces extreme poverty and restores healthy forests by employing local communities to plant millions of trees every year.  For every purchase you make online with 2Rise Naturals, a new tree is planted by Eden Reforestation Program. Eden has planted more than 650 million native trees around the world and we are so happy to be teaming up with an organization that gives back…and now you can too!

By the year 2025 their objective is to plant a minimum of 500 million trees annually and provide meaningful employment to thousands of people around the world.

Regions

A few of the regions where you are helping to make a difference.

Haiti

Years of ecological devastation in Haiti have led to varying levels of crop failure, flooding, soil erosion, and water table depletion. To combat these effects, Eden works directly with community leaders to plant, protect and guard native trees to maturity. In doing so, Eden hopes to help restore the natural environment and implement agroforestry techniques to aid in food security.

Central America

Despite challenges with the pandemic, Eden was able to launch reforestation sites in Central America during. We are planting trees in protected areas that have suffered from deforestation. Eden works with local communities to restore forests that create natural habitats for endemic species meanwhile creating livelihood opportunities for impoverished households.

Kenya

Eden started working with the local community to replant and protect Kenya’s forest systems in 2019. Eden is working in 2 distinct regions within Kenya: the Great Rift Valley and the Northern Coast. In partnership with a local organization, Eden is planting Afromontane species within the Kijabe Forest. The reforestation efforts in the Northern Coast focuses on planting mangrove and coastal forest species. Eden is now the largest, most efficient reforestation organization throughout Kenya.

Nepal

Eden is working to support poverty alleviation and environmental restoration across Nepal with more than 12 million trees already planted. Starting in 2015, Eden has been working in 3 distinct regions across the country, including a partnership with Chitwan National Park, a World Heritage Site in Nepal. By partnering with the National Park system, Eden helps protect and create a reforested zone vital to protecting animal habitat.
