To find (and buy) CBD oil online, is a time consuming task that takes a dedication to understanding the plant, and industry as a whole. Because CBD products come in a vast array forms, from oils to edibles, understanding how to compare ingredients, benefits and effects of similar products is the first step when it comes to purchasing a top quality CBD hemp oil product.
Let’s start by outlining the most important criteria when shopping to buy CBD oil online and highlight differences between CBD products so we’re confident in making informed decisions
One of the most important buying criteria is the concentration of active cannabinoids each product contains. The CBD industry is relatively new and without FDA guidelines, the sky is the limit when it comes to the different quantities of CBD in products.
When checking for CBD quantity, make sure that it specifically relates to the actual milligrams of pure CBD and not just the overall hemp oil. For example, if a product indicates that it contains 1,000mg of CBD oil and somewhere else in tiny writing, it says, “at 20%”, this means that the entire product contains 200mg of actual pure CBD. The remaining 800mg is “other” hemp plant material.
We provide products that range from normal strength to super-high CBD concentrations. Naturally, what concentration you choose depends on how much CBD you want to take and what type of product you are getting the CBD from.
Consistent use of CBD products promotes its maximum effectiveness. This effect is due to the fact that it takes time for your body to adjust to the chemical compounds found in CBD. It is completely safe to adjust the dosage to find the optimal concentration for your individual needs.
Every CBD company is required to have current laboratory test results for their CBD products. Just as you read labels on food items, you should also take the time to read the ingredients of your CBD products.
Avoid CBD products containing:
- Heavy metals
Natural ingredients like terpenes and essential oils benefit your body and may help your body absorb more of the CBD you’re ingesting. Natural inclusions are okay as long as you don’t have an allergy to them.
The FDA has made it clear that it will send out warning letters to any company that makes health claims regarding the healing benefits of cannabinoids and cannabidiol (CBD).
We’re a company that manufactures products containing these ingredients, BUT we cannot make health claims and cannot claim our products as dietary health supplements! We CAN suggest what our products “may” aid.
Quality and Quantity
Organic, junk-free CBD at high concentrations is the optimal choice when searching for a viable product. Products of this quality often cost more than CBD products containing non-organic ingredients.
Legal or Not?
In order for CBD products and CBD oil to be legal in the US, it must contain less than 0.3% Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
Hemp Seed Oil vs. Full Spectrum Hemp Oil
Hemp seed oil (usually found at a grocery store) and industrial hemp based CBD oil (what we call full spectrum hemp oil) are not the same thing! It may be easy to confuse the two when trying to buy CBD oil online. It’s good to know the following:
- Hemp seed oil is usually a dark green color, comes in large bottles, found in a grocery store, and goes rancid without refrigeration.
- CBD oil doesn’t come from hemp seed oil; it comes from the stalks of industrial hemp plants that are intentionally grown for their higher concentration of CBDs.
- CBD comes in the form of a paste and/or crystals (usually 99-100% pure); are super concentrated, not found in grocery stores, and do not require refrigeration.
- Hemp seed oil and CBD oil also have different uses and beneficial qualities.
Read all of the information available about the CBD product, including any tiny writing on the label.
Look out for the actual milligrams of CBD to ensure that the product does not contain “other” hemp plant material.
AND, If you’re still unsure about the product, then contact the company and ask questions.
